After a long time.

Yes, it is along time now that I did not write anything on my blog and I want to be back more often.
I have now a YouTube channel where I  will publish tutorials about fibers, starting knitting, crochet etc.. for beginners first, showing my way to knit.
I will post the link when the tutorials will be published normally in September.
I will have my own brand of yarn for sale.
Handmade soap will be for sale too.  With lavender of my garden

A Thread/Clay Teddy Bear

For a first time, I made a teddy bear and I mixed two medium, clay and thread.

I did not have any clue how to attach the legs and the arms.  For the head, no problem, a disc-joint and it worked, but...

Finally yesterday, a sparkle in my brain and I found a technique to attach them.

I put her on EBay and her name is Danica.

So, the body is crocheted and I added a beaded skirt and a crochet collar.

New Year 2014, 3 teddies on Ebay

My first post for 2014.

This year, I will participate to a few online shows and I decided to split my teddy bears in 2 editions, one for the fabric teddies and another one for the thread teddies.

Until now, it works but I needed to apply a schedule. A part of my work time for the fabric ones and another part for the thread ones.
If I will follow the schedule, perhaps, we will see LOL

Work in Progress

I decided to design a new teddy bear for my patterns.
The process is longer than usual because I'm doing a few teddy bears from the new pattern.

Yesterday, I took pictures of 2 of them. Four have been made.
Not formal pictures, but I liked to show them in my studio....

And I used the free Editor Photoscape, recommended a fellow  teddy bear artist.

Today, I will write the pattern, the draft...

I used a new technique, not new, but new for my little ones.

The teddy bear can take any positions with the filling I used.

The result is surprising and great.

Frustrated.....

Since a few days now, we don't have any mail ; the Canadian Posts decided a lock out last Wednesday ; my fear, I shipped 2 teddy bears just before the lock out and I had to stop to put bears on Ebay....
However, it looks that Harper voted a new law and the employees will have to go back work on next Monday.
I continue my work and my passion ; 3 teddy bears will be ready very soon.
But, somewhere, I'm feeling that I'm so dependent of their services... and I don't like it....
I'm crossing fingers for a fast restart of Canada Posts.
I checked prices with other mail companies ; it's very expansive.
I have another solution ; going to US and bring my parcels there...
We will see....
