I will miss Andrea

I received a sad news this morning in my mailbox ; Andrea decided to stop (I hope just for a while - crossing fingers) ; she wrote :

"Brewer's Bruins will be closing. After 10 years, I have decided to take a break from my little bears for a while to pursue, with full attention, my felt-making. My artistic interests and enthusiasm are being pulled in a different direction right now and I feel I must follow. . . I am working with natural dyes, wet and dry felting and even learning to spin some of my own yarn! Just a note about the "business" side of things.
My Brewer's Bruins website will be coming down on June 30.

My full line of patterns will continue to be stocked by SassyBearsandFabrics.com (US) and TheArtofTeddyBears.com (Australia). I plan to sell off my personal collection of bear making supplies in the near future, either piece by piece or in one large lot. . . .still not sure. To my fellow bear artists and collectors, I want to extend a heartfelt "thank you" for the many years we have shared our love for bears and hope very much that our paths cross again. With love & hugs,Andrea~ "

Andrea showed me how to make bears ; I bought her patterns and I learned with her. After that, I designed and created my teddies myself.

When Laura, my daughter, decided to start bears making also, I bought again patterns from Andrea and I gave them to Laura telling her that Andrea was the Artist number one, who showed very simply, great things in bear making.

I will miss her.

Snoopy for my Mom

The dog of my Mom passed away a few weeks ago and she is so sad that I decided to make a Yorkie for her ; I used long synthetic fur that I painted ; it took a long time for creating the little one, but I'm proud of the result.

I made a collage with different pictures

Lola my grandaughter

My little sweetheart will arrive in Saint John in a few days ; I designed a little project for her using a great FREE scrapbooking software ; it's my first steps and I have to learn a little bit more.
